The Top Notchers are a group of people 55 and over who get together once a month. We usually meet the second Tuesday, but dates can vary to accommodate guest speakers and entertainers. We also do service projects in the community. We average 50 to 60 people in attendance at our monthly functions.

We take chartered bus trips a couple times a year, usually spring and fall. We see beautiful areas of Iowa and adjoining states. Most of our trips are one day, but we have gone overnight and even to Branson for three nights!

Our group is a ministry of Altoona United Methodist Church but is open to other churches and people in the surrounding communities.
