What should I expect?

We're glad you're here!  Altoona United Methodist Church is a growing and vibrant church in the heart of Iowa.  It is a great place to connect with God, grow in your faith, and become part of a caring Christian community.

What is the style of your worship service?

We offer 3 worship services on Sunday mornings (8:20 a.m., 9:40 a.m., and 11:00 a.m) and 2 distinct styles of worship.

8:20  Traditional Worship Service features organ and piano music, hymns, choir, hand bells, and a relevant biblical message which all help to create a meaningful, classic worship experience.

9:40 and 11:00 Contemporary Worship Services feature modern worship music led by our praise band.  A relevant biblical message gives you a fresh, practical approach to God's timeless message.

During the 11:00 service, children ages 3 years old through 2nd grade are invited to attend their own worship experience filled with colorful puppets, cool songs, engaging Bible activities, and fun crafts.  Children learn about God's love in an exciting and creative service designed just for them.

What else do you have for kids?
